URC Flour Sariaya: A New Milestone in Innovation and Growth

Universal Robina Corporation (URC), one of the Philippines’ largest food and beverage companies, is proud to announce the opening of its state-of-the-art flour mill in Sariaya, Quezon Province. This new facility, set to commence operations in Q4, marks a significant step forward in URC’s commitment to quality, efficiency, and sustainability.

Boosting Production Capacity

The URC Flour Sariaya mill will significantly increase URC Flour’s production capacity from 2,180 metric tons (MT) per day to approximately 3,500 MT per day. This expansion is in response to the growing demand for URC’s high-quality flour products. “We are seeing an ever-growing demand for our products. This new flour mill will allow us to meet that demand, maintain the quality of our products, and keep our price point competitive,” said Irwin C. Lee, URC President & CEO.

Cutting-Edge Technology

The new facility features fully automated flour-milling technology, integrating the roller mill’s control and monitoring system into the main station—a first in the Philippines. Additionally, the mill boasts fully automatic packing operations, which streamline the production process and minimize wastage. These technological advancements not only enhance efficiency but also reduce operational costs and URC’s overall carbon footprint.

Sustainability and Community Impact

URC Flour Sariaya aligns with the company’s sustainability goals by reducing energy consumption and resource use in its manufacturing processes.
