El Real Chicken Bolognese

Create your own version of this Italian pasta.

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams EL REAL FLAT SPAGHETTI
  • ¼ cup coconut vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup crushed garlic
  • ½ cup chopped onion
  • ¼ cup chopped celery stalk
  • ¼ cup chopped carrot
  • 500 grams chicken giniling
  • 1 tbsp. rock salt
  • 1 tsp. each of pepper, dried basil & oregano
  • 1 can (14 oz./2 cups) whole tomatoes in liquid (do not drain)
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese or
  • 1 cup grated quick melting cheese

Chef’s Note: You may also use 500 grams of ground round beef instead of chicken

Procedure:

  1. Cook EL REAL FLAT SPAGHETTI according to package directions.
    Drain under running water. Dunk in boiling water when ready to serve.

  2. In a 12-inch skillet, put oil and garlic, when brown, add onions until transparent.

  3. Add celery, carrots, chicken giniling, dried herbs and season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.

  4. Stir until chicken giniling changes color. Add tomatoes and mash.

  5. Cover and cook over low fire for 5 minutes.

  6. Arrange pasta in serving dish. Pour sauce over pasta. Top with cheese.

    Yield: 4 servings.
